Registry question

So I am due March 9th and with the holidays and schedules, my baby shower wont be until February. Would it be considered inappropriate to post a link to my registry on Facebook for friends and family in hopes the bigger items arrive early? We are on a tight income as I am the only one working right now full time and we dont have a lot of money to buy a crib and nursery items at the moment. I have this fear the baby will come early and nothing will be set up.
