it's silly, I know. I need encouragement

*side note- I just got my license in July so I'm new to driving in general. 

The way I take has shitty roads and pot holes and hills.  

I keep telling myself that if I made it here okay I can make it back okay. How do you prevent hydroplaning? Can you? I didn't know what to do so I just held my wheel straight and let it bounce between my hands a little bit not letting it turn and I never once lost control. I let off the gas too and didn't brake. Guys I was 30 minutes late because I drove so slow. I was too scared to go the speed limit.
