exclusive pumpers?

So I've ended up having to exclusively pump... well in working on it. We are doing breast milk during the day and formula at night. I need to build my supply... nothing has been working. My daughter is almost three weeks old, is a big baby (birth weight and current weight is 10lb 9oz) and eats 3oz (she wants more sometimes too) every 2-3 hours. I have been pumping every 2-3 hours and today I even did one power pumping session.

How long do you ladies pump for?? I only manage 1.5-3 oz from both breasts combined during a session anywhere from 15-30 minutes 😩

My daughter is 5 months and I've been pumping since day 1 she was born. I know it takes time to build up milk. I recently got my milk supply back. It dropped tor 2 weeks. Bc I was dieting and limiting myself calories. When you should be in taking a lot! I started eating oatmeal every morning. I also take fenugreek. It has helped a ton. I pump every 4 hours now. It definitely takes time and dedication. ❤

Drink tons of water! Rest, eat oatmeal (the whole oats or whatever the nastier kind actually worked better for me) and just keep at it! You're doing great! I do not miss pumping every two hours! I've exclusively pumped for almost 9 months now and it gets easier. I only have to pump 5 times a day now, four times in the day and one at 3 am, and I get about 30 - 33 oz a day.

Your supply will increase with time. I started out only getting 2-3 oz during the day and morning pumps maybe 4-5. By 8 weeks it increased to 4-5 during the day and 8 in the mornings. I regulated to 4-5 pumps a day and getting 12oz morning and usually 6-8 oz for all my other pumps.

Eat oatmeal, have some power cookies (oatmeal, brewers yeast) and drink a crap ton of water. :). You'll get there and it'll work! Going on 9 months here!

Do two power pump sessions and it takes 2-3 to show results have you tried any teas or pills as well as keeping hydrated

I'm at 17 weeks, exclusively pulping for the past 6. I pump between 15-25 minutes 5-7 times a day. Mostly I get 5 oz combined, except my first of the day which is usually 12. It takes time to build your supply up, so it sounds like you're doing great!
