my boyfriend beat me yesterday ):

My (it's complicated) boyfriend/ ex beat me. It wasn't the most horrible painful thing. I was bleeding, and he doesn't seem to care however we have a no hostile contact order so I was told I should press charges, but pouring salt in someone's sugar won't make yours any sweeter right? Shouldn't I just leave? Why is it so hard to stop loving him? Why even when he's gone does he have so much control over me. I was wondering if you ladies have any supportive words and if you guys think I should send him to jail for assault? Or if you think I should just move on
