Did you feed you baby food before 6 months?

THIS DOESN'T INCLUDE BABY CEREAL, I'm referring to fruits and veggies ONLY.

I did as recommended by my pediatrician. I tried at 4 months. He never really took food until he was 5 months. He loves it. I'm glad we didn't wait. I wanna expose him to as many foods as possible.

We started at 6 months as recommended and followed the guidelines. My husband and his family have high rates of allergies and I wanted to reduce the risk to my son. My sisters in law thought I was neurotic and they started feeding their kids at 4 months. One of them has asthma and the rest suffer various food allergies.

I'm not saying that's necessarily the case with everyone but if there is a family history, it may affect the risks.

With our first we did "baby led weaning" and loved it. We'll do the same with this one. So much easier than baby food.

my daughters about 5 and half months old and we just started on fruits. her pediatrician recommended starting those at 6 month but shes been doing so well with cereal we decided to try the fruits. my boyfriends mom said we needed to be feeding her food at 2 months old 😑😑😑 I was like um no. I'm not doing that and you aren't either.

Yes I started at 4 months with homemade veggie puree. I didn't not introduce fruit until much later because of the high sugar content
