banks

Is it better to bank with an actual bank (like Wells Fargo or Usbank) or to bank with a local credit union? Right now I currently have an account at a credit union. I have to pay like $5 a month for account fees because I have really bad credit..but I've never really had a problem with them. My only irritation is that I have an online banking account and whenever I make a debit or credit transaction, it takes days for it to reflect on my account..so it always looks like I have more money online than I really do...which I guess has been fine because I always keep track (even though it can be a pain) but it'd be nice for my account to just reflect the right information.....anyone have any knowledge or suggestions?
