Can cats sense pregnancy?

We have one girl kitty who's unfixed. Normally, she likes to cuddle at night but so her own thing during the day. Ever since I entered my second trimester, she has been SO needy! If I leave the room, she's knocking on the door and crying until I get her and keep her with me. I work from home and she sits on my lap my entire shift, doesn't leave my side at night, etc. is this normal behavior or should I bring her to the vet? I just want to make sure she's safe and healthy.

My cat definitely knows I'm pregnant. That's him watching me take a bath, I don't get any privacy anymore aha. 
He also loves to cuddle with me and only me now, he completely ignores my SO.

I definitely think that animals can sense hormones but also be careful with an unfixed female cat. It's common for unfixed female cats to get uterine infections if they're not bred which can be deadly quickly. A friend's cat recently went through this and one of the things that tipped him off that something was up was that she became very clinging the week prior then began exhibiting almost flu like symptoms. I hate being preachy but it's always best to fix your animals if you're not a breeder.

I've honestly wondered this as well. My female cat is also very needy in the second trimester. I can't walk around the house without her rubbing up against my feet or following right behind me and she constantly has a paw on my belly if she is laying next to me. I feel like she senses it but I've only heard of dogs doing this!

Yes it's common for animals to act differently. They can sense hormones and the changes your body is going through. My dog does the same thing to me.
