announcing new pregnancy after miscarriage??

So we just found out that we are pregnant again. We had a miscarriage around this time last year, we had told our best friends, parents and siblings so they knew when we lost the baby. We will obviously seeing them for Thanksgiving next week, I will only be about 5 weeks, but they will definitely notice I'm not drinking. We can't decide if we should tell them so that if something does happen again they can be there for us, or if we should wait. Obviously we will wait to announce it to others. Thoughts?? What did you guys do??

If you don't want to mention the pregnancy I would suggest to tell them you aren't drinking because you are still trying to have a baby and want to be as healthy as possible.

With our first we told my parents and his and lost it 2 days later. This time I told my mom but we waited until 12 weeks to tell my dad and his parents now I'm 22 weeks. I mean, if it's meant to stay it will, I don't/can't drink so I didn't have the problem but I'd wait a bit longer than 5 weeks. Now I get people telling me to "wait until it's born to buy things and have a shower in case anything happens" to that I say I refuse to live in fear that every baby I carry will not survive. So in that aspect, tell them, you should not fear what will happen or if you will lose another.

I lost my last one at 10 wks. So I waited til 14 to tell my coworkers & close friends/ fam. Publicly announced at 16 wks. Still haven't talked to my mom Bc I'm not married, only known my BF a year & have 2 older kids & know she'll kill me lol

I was pregnant last year as well. Lost baby on 10/15/15 at 15 weeks. We didn't tell anyone about the baby then, we were waiting. When we lost him, we announced then.
This year, we waiting until I was 15 weeks. Until after I had blood work and a few screenings to officially announce after the doctor gave the ok. My Mom and Dad knew cuz we see them more often and in case I needed support. He told his Dad  (mom passed last year) before I posted the announcement so it didn't shock him. Lol.

Having that support can be super beneficial for you. I suffered through 2 miscarriages alone. This is my 5th pregnancy and we didn't wait to announce I wanted all the support I could get.

I don't see any point in lying about it - but I personally would want support. I struggled with infertility for years and I had been told miscarriage was likely... so I told people so that they could celebrate with me, and if I needed, mourn with. E.

I'm about 5 weeks with my first. We told our parents grandparents and plan to tell like great grandmas at thanksgiving. I'm nervous doing so because I feel like I will jinx my body :/
