Have I been on birth control too long? am I ruined and will never have a baby???

I've been off birth control now about 7 months after taking for 14 years. Am I ruined???? Will I ever conceive????

I was on bc for 12 years, I've been off of it for a year and 9 months, my husband and I were activity ttc for 7 months when I decided not to worry about ovulation and take the stress out of ttc and just enjoy my husband. We got pregnant 2 months later and I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant. I think it just takes awhile for your body to adjust to not having the bc and regulating itself again. Hopefully that gives you some hope!

I'm sure your body will get back into the swing of things, though it can take a while after extended periods of time being on hormonal contraceptives, as your own hormones kind of have to wake up and take over now. If you're worried there may be a problem though, it'd be worth seeing your doctor for some peace of mind. They'd be able to do blood tests to check your hormone levels and maybe an ultrasound to make sure all your reproductive stuff is healthy (:

no you arent, you are fine. it may take awhile but your fine. If ur worried maybe go to ur doctor gyno and check if you dont have anything wrong and stuff.
