nap time?

How long do y'all let your LO nap for during the day? I don't want her to confuse her days and night, however I want her to be well rested and understand that newborns need a lot of sleep for growth. (My babe just came home from the Nicu last week so im just now experiencing mommyhood two and a half months after she was born) Here's a pic just because 😝

Being that she's a premie and needs all the nutrition she can get and to continue to put on weight, I would follow her lead as far as daytime naps go, but wake her after 3 hours to feed her.

He eats every 3 hours and I wake to feed him. So he doesn't nap for more than 2 1/2. He'll usually do a short nap, long nap around noon, and another shorter one around 5

You should try to call and ask how she napped and slept for. That might help you establish your schedule with her. My little guy is 10 weeks today and he usually sleeps a total of 4-6 hours during the day and almost all night when put to bed at 8-9. And even though I don't know you, I'm so happy for you that she finally got to come home with you! :)

I use to let him only sleep for 3hrs at a time before I would wake up during the day but now that he has his nights established I just let him sleep

Mine naps 4x/day but never longer than 45 mins at a time. Unless we are in the car-- car rides tend to keep him asleep.
