Weight loss tips for PCOS?
Okay, so long story short I have been trying to get prego since April 2015, have had 2 miscarriages and I am 95 lbs overweight. After my 2nd miscarriage I had almost 3 months of no period.
I just had foot surgery last month and will have a 2nd one in February so I decided to go back on birth control so I can have regular periods. My gyno said she was ok if I only had a period every 3 months while I was healing from my surgeries but I wanted my lining to shed regular as I feel my first miscarriage happend bc my lining was too thick from irregular periods before the pregnancy.
So, I really feel if I lose weight, that I will get pregnant. I have PCOS and I think if maybe I eat a diabetes diet, that my hormones might normalize and will allow for a successful pregnancy.
The problem is that I won't be able to do physical activity until atleast June because my surgeries are on both of ny feet. I can at least do diet though. I'm just not sure where to start. I don't feel full until I eat carbs and/or sugar. When I've tried to cut them completely I get severe headaches and I'm tired and hungry all day.
I know my body is addicted to sugar. I've pretty much eaten only fast food and processed foods for about 20 years. Just the way my family ate in the household. I'm also having a lot of acid reflux the past 6 months so I know I've gotta change. I just turned 29 last week and I really want to get healthy and have a baby with my husband.
Anyone with tips for what I can do? I read that women with PCOS need a strong workout routine to lose weight but it will be 7 months before I can be active.
Thanks in advance!
