baby moving vs Braxton hicks

Maybe a dumb question but I'm a first time mom. I think I've been having BH, my belly will harden. It's been happening since about 26 weeks, I'm 36w3d now. I am 1 cm dilated. She. My belly tightens, it almost feels like baby is sticking his hug out hard. It doesn't hurt at all, but it is happening very frequently. So I am puzzled if baby is moving like crazy or if I'm having BH. Anybody experience something similar?
