when do you get 12w scan notification

This might be more relevant in the uk;
I had my midwife appointment over a week ago and they booked me in for next clinic but ive heard nothing about 12w scan? I am only 9w+3 but it seems a little strange i dont have an appointment notification through or something? What happemed with you guys?

I got given mine at my first appointment, is your next appointment before your 12 weeks? If not I'd phone up and ask😊

At about 8 weeks I got a call with dates and times for both the booking appointment (about 10 weeks) & scan (about 12 weeks). Process is different county to county.

I had my booking in appointment last Thursday and got my scan appointment letter today. My midwife said if I don't get a letter by 12weeks then to call the scan department at the hospital.....did she not give you any numbers? Your fine to have the scan between 12-14weeks. My scan is booked and I will be 13weeks.

Thanks guys. Think i will call the clinic tomorrow and check theyve put me through for one. Otherwise i might end up waiting til 12w, hetting nothing, then finding out theyve not sent a request!

My midwife just sent off a form for my 12 week scan at my first appointment :)

Don't worry, I had mine at around 10-11 weeks and went for the scan at 13 weeks, I'm also in the uk 😃 check your midwife has put your form in though xx

Your midwife should give you a note referring you for a scan. Then you book it yourself.
