Azoospermia and donor sperm???

Hello! 
My husband was diagnosed with azoospermia several months ago, we have decided to do the microTESE surgery to see if they can find ANY sperm. If not we will have donor sperm available. His brother said he would be willing to let us use his sperm; I don't know how I feel about that... there's just so much to consider when making these kinds of decisions. Does anyone have any advise? Thanks!

Hi Liz! I am in a very similar situation as you. Hubby and I were TTC for about 18 months before we finally decided to go through all the testing. We found out in June that my husband had azoospermia. It broke us when we found out. We did a lot of thinking and talking (and crying!), but we ended up making the decision to try the TESE surgery. I am going through an IVF cycle (just started stims today!), and hubby's surgery will be on the same day as my egg retrieval. If they find anything, we will be ecstatic, but we don't have a ton of hope that they will. We have ordered donor sperm to have on backup. Whatever decision you come to, just make sure that you are both 100% comfortable with it! Wishing you the best of luck as you figure all this out!
