Do sperm really live for 5 days in there?

I'm asking because DH and I BDed on the 22nd. I had a couple of tiny spots earlier when I wiped and EWCM, which I usually get when I ovulate. I want to BD tonight but DH isn't really feeling it because he has poison ivy from work (landscaping), and he cracked a tooth today so he's in some pain. Just in case BD doesn't happen tonight, I just want a little reassurance that we still have a shot for this month if we BD'd two nights ago.
