Virginity is a backwards notion to convince women that worth relies on their sexual "purity", that they must only give themselves to one person that they love when they're married. I don't give my body to anyone, I share it. My body is my own, and I own it. I've shared it with more people than I've counted and I've always been safe, and I don't regret it. Sexuality doesn't define your worth, and neither do numbers.

Yes I believe in waiting for marriage. I've been with my boyfriend for 4 1/2 years and it has been very hard but he loves me and respects my decision to wait until we are married and I know it'll be worth it. :)

I think there is so much that goes into sex & that includes A LOT of emotions. And because break-ups can already be really hard, I think that it just lessens the potential pain for both people. You're less emotionally & chemically attached to that person (b/c of all of the chemicals released during orgasim). Saving yourself for one person completely eliminates that. I've only had sex with my husband & I'm really grateful for that (even though we didn't wait until we were married).

I'm waiting. I will only ever let the man I call my husband see me naked: body and soul. For me personally, I can't fathom the thought of being intimate with anyone else other my future husband. I know most say, "You gotta try it before you buy it," or something along the lines of that, but TBH I never try anything on/out and it always turns out amazing, almost perfect, not even kidding you lol, but that's just me, and obviously what works for one person may not work for all. I'm not religious at all, far from it. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but that's just my personal preference. So we are clear, I don't judge if you have sex before or after; the choice is yours. Whatever the choice may be, just make sure it's the right one for you. If having a few lovers makes you happy before finding the right one, awesome. If having one for an entire lifetime makes you happy, awesome. Do what feels right to you. Make sure that you're happy with your end result because your happiness is valuable, ladies. I think that the whole purity issue especially for Christians is because they've given themselves (bodies), their lives to God their lives are about serving God not about pleasing themselves, so whatever God says goes in this case. And since the God says to wait, Christians wait. However many do not go over why God wants us to wait. It's not about depriving people from sex. Sex is a good thing, a great thing. But waiting allows people to learn how to control themselves, how to trust, love and respect as well as communicate. It's about developing spiritual and emotional vulnerability and intimacy as well as deciding to commit before closing the deal with physical intimacy that amplifies the connection of the latter two. It's the process of two people becoming one. If you've had sex before marriage and you've married someone else you've attached yourself mentally, emotionally spiritually and physically to someone else, those awkward but precious first times are gone and belong with that someone else. And just for me personally I'd find it a little sad if I were not able to share those first moments with the person I want to spend the rest of my life with no matter how weird it would turn out to be. If you are Christian and your reading this I would go do the reaserch personally but this is what I have learned thus far from the bible and psychology books.
