did anyone had an awful baby shower ??

Sorry for the rant but I just wanted to put something up. My sister was suppose to do a baby shower for me but she had some personal issue (step daughter diagnosed with breast cancer) and she gave up the idea. I never had one so I was super excited for getting one. Two of my friends decided to do a shower for me ( I threw for one of them) and I was so disappointed. It was the lamest shower of the century. There was no decor as the friend who was doing it at her house has a husband who refused to allow to put anything up. (He was worried paint will be ruined). So they added stuff toys. It seemed like a kids birthday party. The cake was well made and tasted good (one of them is a baker). There weee no party favours. There were only two games to play. And that's it. The shower was over in 30 minutes. I felt like I was a burden to deal with instead of a joy. The other friend whose shower I did called me and apologized after the shower saying she tried to pitch it but she was not allowed to do much as it was not her house. I am having my 3rd and last baby and I never had a shower before. This was the first and the last shower and it was so boring and dead. There were only 20 people in the shower. I know I'm being a bitch by complaining and a lot of you will say I'm ungrateful or mean but this was by far the worst shower I have ever been to and sadly it was my own. I don't know how to get over it. I got a baby gym from one of them. 3-4 sleepers from another and gifts cards worth $100. That's it. Any suggestions??
