NST??

Question

Does everyone get a NST or is it only done if an issue arises? 36 weeks today. Haven't had one but just curious

I go for NST twice a week since 32 weeks for Placenta issue.

From what I know, you only get the NST for three reasons:
1: high risk pregnancy 
2: unseen health concern for baby health 
3: go past your due date

I'm currently 38 weeks & 2 days pregnant, I haven't had it. I probably won't get it unless I go past my due date or my midwives becomes concern about my baby's health

I get them twice a week because I worried I wasn't feeling her nearly as much over a few days span. Honestly since then I've been feeling her pretty good, but I don't mind the extra monitoring. My last pregnancy went weird at the end where his placenta calcified and he stopped growing or lost weight inside me so I want her to be checked on as much as possible. It helps a lot with my anxiety.

They are normally done if you have complications but they will be done if you go post dates. I had three with my first baby who was born 41+5. I didn't have my first one until I was 40+2 with him.

I'm 36 wks last two appointments babys heart rate was around 120 did nst babys heart rate was110 they sent me home if babys heart rate was 100 or below they would've induced me asap due to baby being stressed. But sometimes they just monitor you regularly due to gestational diabetes and stuff

I'll be 37 weeks on Thursday and they're having me go twice a week because my blood pressure has been high and he's only measuring 4 pounds 14 ounces

I got one yesterday since I wasn't feeling well over the weekend and wasn't sure if she was moving or not because I didn't feel her over the weekend...I wasn't supposed to get one though

You should only get one at the end if you have a normal pregnancy. I get mine twice a week cus i have gd and take medication for it
