PLAN B//UTI?!?!

IF I TOOK A PLAN B IN AUGUST COULD THEY FIND IT IN A PEE TEST I TOOK A WEEK AGO ? THEY FOUND BACTERIA (UTI) AND NOW THEY MADE ME TAKE ANOTHER PEE TEST RIGHT NOW TO FIND OUT WHATS CAUSING THE BACTERIA OR LIKE WHAT TYPE OF BACTERIA. IDK. COULD THEY FIND OUT THAT IVE BEEN SEXUALLY ACTIVE? I WILL BE IN SO MUCH TROUBLE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME SOMEONE RESPOND . ok well my doctor doesn't know that i am sexually active and they won't because my mom will get mad for even wanting to talk to my doctor in private about this because then she'll know something is up. IM ONLY 16!!

You should always be honest with the doctor especially about being sexually active that could change what it is they look for but the only thing that would come up in urine that would show your active is pregnancy or possibly and std/sti

Where I live, it is not legal for doctors to discuss those personal things with your mother in the room. So you shouldn't have a problem there. BUT if you're pregnant, they have to tell her.

The plan B wouldn't have stayed in your system long enough to show up in a urine sample now. That being said, it's very possible that your UTI is caused by sex. There's a lot of bacteria that you're exposed to during sex and it can get in your urethra, that's why it's always important to pee after sex. Just for future reference. Also always remember to wipe front to back.

Your doctors cant tell anyone even if you are sexually active. They need to know for medical reasons

Yeah even if you're a minor there is syill patient confidentiality, but I don't think they can tell from a pee test whether you're having sex or not

Update: I AM PERFECTLY FINE MY PEE HAS NO INFECTION. not fine though cus apparently they found like crystals and stuff which is weird because i've had no symptoms ! i'm gonna get treated though so it's all good :) . thanks to everyone who helped me this question though!

Ok a couple things: plan b doesn't cause UTIs. Neither does shower gel (like someone said, it's more likely to cause a yeast infection). Also, plan b wouldn't be in your system for that long so you don't have to worry about your doctor knowing you took plan B. UTIs aren't sexually transmitted but can happen due to sex (transfer of bacteria in your vagina or anus into your urethra) so there's no way your doctor will know you've had sex (but for the record, you should be open with your doctor about your sexual history). Your doctor can't talk to your mom about your health (it's illegal) unless you've signed a consent form. Last thing: why did you have to take a urine test to begin with if you didn't have any symptoms??

Hey I was wondering if the Plan B worked for you and around how long is it in your system ? Took one yesterday after he finished inside me and I wasnt on any other birth control. (Condom broke.)
