Birth Control Question

I started taking the pill the Monday after my period. I had unprotected sex a few days after the first time taking it so I took the morning after pill. A few days later I did the same thing but before having sex used spermicide and the next day doubled up on my birth control. Yesterday two days before my second week I did it again but only doubled up on the pill. I heard that as long as you take the pill the same time every day and if you start the day after your period you are protected within the first week. I need some advice
