teething

My Little one is 25 weeks and last night she spiked a fever of 101.1 which downgraded to 99.9 this morning and back up to 101.4 this afternoon.. it's down to 98.9 now and she been very fussy and cranky, chewing on any and everything she can get her teeth on, lots of drooling and slight ear tugging but only in her sleep.. she had signs like this a few months back and the doctor said it was just her teething but never a fever this high.. is this anything anyone has experienced??
