weed and memory problems?

Hey guys, so recently I just tried out weed for the first time in the form of weed brownies. I had two brownies and I think that was way to much for me since I'm new too it and they where super potent. Anyways.. I had a really bad trip and that was like two weeks ago and my head still feels slightly foggy and I can't remember short term things as well as I could before. I was told that marijuana does not have any bad side effects but I wanted to ask eve to see if anyone has had any advice or experience with it. Someone else told me that the "memory fog" won't last forever and that's only because I was not use to the effects because I haven't had marijuana prior to that. I'm just worried about my head does anyone know anything about this?
