UTI treated completely?

So i had a uti recently and i wasn't able to get antibiotics until i had the uti for 5 days and i was sexually active during the course of treatment and before. I've already finished my 7 days worth of pills and i still feel the frequent urgency to pee and usually it's a small amount and although there is not really a burning sensation, i often feel like i can't fully empty my bladder. Should i get more antibiotics, and how do i know if it turns into a bladder or kidney infection? I know it isn't an STI because i have no discharge or physical abnormalities down there. Could it be another uti already?
