Depo Problems

Did anyone have major negative symptoms with the depo? I was on it for about a year and 6 months, and bled for a total, continuous, nonstop 1 year and 8 months. Not to mention acne, 15lbs weight gain, crazy mood swings, cravings, and zero sex drive. I've been off all hormonal birth control for almost 5 months and have only had one period since September, does anyone know how long it takes your body to heal itself after all that?
