Need Advice on working & breastfeeding !!
Alright so I work at Walgreens and my shifts vary greatly, sometimes I'll work a 4 hour day, sometimes it'll be 8 hours+. Now my job has provided me with a room to pump and everything, which is great but the issue I run into is that I'm often super busy and don't always have time to pump as often as I need to.
My baby is only 2 months old, so he eats about every 3-4 hours. So in an 8 hour shift I should pump twice ideally but I usually can only get one pump session in. Now my plan was to just pump again as soon as I get home from work, but my baby always seems to be hungry as soon as I get home, so I end up just nursing instead.
The problem I need advice with is since I'm not pumping a lot at work, how can I make sure that I have enough milk for the baby sitter everyday? I have a small stash in the freezer from when I was on leave, but I could never quite get it as big as I had hoped before I returned to work.
I've been thinking about just having the sitter supplement with formula throughout the day and just nursing at night but I'm not sure yet. Do any more experienced moms have any advice for me?
(Sorry if this seems like a lot of rambling, I was just getting all of my thoughts out 😂)
