Does no one believe in working it out?

Whenever I see a post about a cheating or "bad" spouses the responses are always: Leave, get out, pack his shit, etc. Does no one believe in working marriages out? I truly believe if my husband had an affair I would be devastated and heart broken, but I would want to work it out. I made a vow and we are a family.

He also made a vow but still went out of the marriage. I couldn't be intimate with my husband ever again if he cheated but to each his own I guess

A person that cheats on you doesn't love or care about your mental or physical wellbeing. They know how devastating that can be and they know that it's a health risk but they still do it. They don't even have the decency to be honest with you so you can take the necessary precautions to protect your health.

Everyone has their deal breakers. I believe people should fight for their marriages, but I also believe their certain situations that it's justified to call it quits. I would do anything possible to keep my marriage intact, but cheating is a deal breaker for me.

Personally I would work anything out except cheating. I would lose total respect and trust for him, I wouldn't be able to look at him the same again.

If you want to go back to someone who didn't respect you, your relationship, or the vows he took to be with you and you only...that's your business. How can you trust anyone after that sort of betrayal? Why stay in a loveless, one sided marriage and hurt yourself more? I've already told my husband if he ever strays he better be on the run with her because if I see them again I'll be put in jail.

My fiancé and I have been through a lot and we always manage to work it out. I wouldn't want it any other way. But some situations are beyond working out. I really think it just depends on what the other person or you did

I've been married since December of 2014. In May of 2014 my (now husband) boyfriend began a inappropriate texting relationship with a co-worker. I found out about it January if 2016. I was destroyed but I felt that I needed to try to work it out. I knew what he did was wrong, as did he. But we both wanted to work it out for us. We are happy now after 11 months of counseling. It's still a healing process and I have my days but I don't regret staying. No one should be able to tell you that it's wrong to stay. It's your choice.

Now if my husband cheats again... done. Everyone deserves the chance to show you they can change.

I completely agree with you. If my husband ever had an affair, I would be absolutely heartbroken but I just love him too much to leave. I also don't want a broken home for my babies so I would do everything I could to work things out first before I ended the marriage.

What's wrong with trying first? If it's a deal breaker for you fine. I personally don't encourage anyone to leave their relationships because it's not that easy. At the end of the day it's easy to say you will walk away until you're actually in the situation and it's not that easy.
