Period after miscarriage/d&c?

I know everyone is different but I suffered a miscarriage last week at 9 weeks pregnant. Over the weekend I had a d&c procedure. Should I expect my period when it would typically occur during the month or will it be way off? This was my first pregnancy and miscarriage so I don't really know what to expect.

I ovulated exactly 14 days after the D&C and got my period 14 days after that

Here's what I learned the hard way. Usually everything will come back right on schedule. If it doesn't come back, your doc might say something like, let's give it 6-8 weeks. If it still hasn't come back, ask to speak to an OB or RE about uterine adhesions. In about 25% of women who have a D&C, elective, miscarriage, ectopic, etc., sometimes there can be complications in your uterus. For whatever reason, many OBs don't tell you this. I went a whole year without a period before I finally found a doctor that listened to me that something was wrong. So, if you don't get your period back, or if it comes back differently than it used to be, ask your doc to check you out. If you want to google, it's called Asherman's Syndrome. And finally. I'm so sorry for your lost baby. I hope this time can be healing for you.

Thank you for the information. I have an appointment scheduled in about 2 weeks with my OB. I'm hoping I will get my period before that time but who knows. I will definitely contact her if I don't get it. We also had to undergo fertility treatments so that's how we will likely get pregnant again

It might be on time, it might be off. Y a few days. I had a miscarriage in May and it took 33 days for my period to come. My girlfriend had a missed miscarriage and her period was almost a week late from normal. Your body will know when to have a period.
