BV and pain during the No Pants Dance

So my boyfriend and I have been having a really hard time with intimacy for the last few weeks; we will go to try and upon insertion, I feel a severe stabbing/tearing sensation (which is brand new to me.) I went to my gyno a couple weeks ago and she diagnosed me with Bacterial Vaginosis (also a new experience for me,) gave me the metro gel and all that... I finished the regimen last week, but I'm still getting that pain. Has anyone else dealt with this??
