False Positive?

Question

Has anyone had a false positive? I have had 2 miscarriages this year.... I took a test yesterday (only because I had one in the drawer) and it said positive very faintly, but positive. My period is due in 4 days. With my other 2 pregnancies I just knew I was pregnant. I really don't this time. I am trying not to get my hopes up, stuck between waiting for my period and going to buy another test (but don't want to be disappointed). Thoughts??? And, as always... baby dust, please!

My understanding is that it is very very rare to get a false positive. The only way there'd be a second line is if there's hCG in your system, and there's only one reason for that! I understand being hesitant to get excited, especially after losses. But you're pregnant! I lost two babies before this pregnancy. I'm at 10+3 and still afraid to get excited, but I'm trying to enjoy it. I hope you can, too!

If there was 2 lines your pregnant you can't get a positive with out hcg in your pee.

This happened to my friend she had no idea she was pregnant until she was told she couldn't get a procedure done at the dr because she was pregnant and she had 2 miscarriages last year and now she 15+ weeks and had no idea ahe was pregnant at first

False positives don't happen, but chemical pregnancies do.
