New to Formula Feeding.... help!
Hello all I hope you can help me with two questions: I current only breast feed or give my son (almost 7 months) small amounts of breast milk in a sippy cup. But due to many factors I am having trouble pumping and he is more interested in drinking from a cup and eating solids than spending lots of time on my boob.
1) I am going to introduce formula to supplement but I am lactose intolerant and have a mild milk allergy (whey). I have no reason currently to think my son inherited my allergy/ intolerance but there is a chance. Any suggestions about the first formula I should try? And how do I introduce formula to an only BF baby?
2) We are flying to Hawaii in a month and I would like to bring formula (and breast milk if I can pump enough) for the travel. How do I prepare formula safely for this trip while in the airport or plane. Should it be mixed in advanced then heated? Or leave in powder form? Or is there already made formula that can be used once opened?
Thank you so much in advance!!
