Just wondering

So me and a friend were talking she thinks her man is to nice to laid back she doesn't exactly feel safe with him in the sense that he wouldn't be able to protect her or have her back she says she's happy something tells me she's not and this isn't my only friend who has this problem maybe its more common than i think maybe im the only one who likes a bit of an asshole thats a nice guy deep down at least thats what my husband is lol so my question is
