scheduled c section 38wk 4 days

My OB originally planned to schedule me for a c section between 37-38 weeks. Unfortunately he will be on vacation and pushed the date to Jan 3rd where I will be 38 weeks 4 days preg with b/g twins. Now my insurance will no longer cover 100% but instead 80 due to the new year. I'm also concerned about risks? Has anyone gone this far before? Im a FTM. I have no health issues with this preg besides low iron.
