What's the silliest / stupidest thing someone has ever said to you?

I'm an archaeologist and many years ago I was excavating in Pompeii, Italy. An American tourist walks up to me and genuinely asks me if I've found any dinosaurs yet!! WTF?? How do I answer that without sarcasm!? Lol.

Someone said to me "Oh, wow. I didnt know black people live in houses." True story. My reaction was 👀 "Well we learn something new everyday huh?"

I'm active duty military and I had an appt on Halloween so bc I had to work I was in uniform. Well the employees stopped and said good morning and then told me they like my Halloween costume. I had to tell them ummm no this is my everyday life.

Seriously my younger cousin found out she was pregnant and was so shocked and said to me 'but I thought it was impossible if your standing up' 😳 told her she shouldn't be having unprotected sex anyway but she should use it even more if she's that stupid

I show cattle, and the number of grown people (I'm talking 18+) asking how many eggs do they lay, how many piglets they have, and 'why do these donkeys look funny?' Is just unimaginable. I... just... they're COWS!

It wasn't so much what she said, but my Uncle convinced my 16 year old cousin buffalo wings were from actual buffalo & they chopped them off when they were babies.

My other cousin (her brother) asked my Uncle who Holy Bible was and why every hotel had a book about her. (He was 12 when he said that.)

I'm a microbiologist, currently working on my Phd, and there was this debate over baptism and religion; naturally I say that if the mother doesn't feel comfortable doing that why should she feel forced to do so?? So it turned into this religious debate, I'm not against religion but i grew up atheist with science as a belief. Everyone in our family is. Anyway, I proceed to say that from what i learned in my theology class(they teach you many religions not just one) and how baptism are  different/have their meaning for each religion. That from what i gathered in that class I was forming my own opinion, but if they are religious and follow that faith, well obviously they will know more about that then me and good for them. I was just expressing my point of view and opinion from what I was taught in a class since I've always been a person of science and not religion, and I belive religion gives power to the wrong people. That I felt lucky growing up the way I did, even my siblings are starting their medical/surgical residency and we never had to worry about that. This ladies, proceed to tell me that baptism is all the same in all religions, that there is no opinion to have when it comes to religion, and that she can love science too and not just "God." It was like talking to a repetitive stubborn mule so after that all i did was relply with ok and sure. What am i supposed to say to a stubborn person that says I'm not allowed an opinion? At the end I just thought it was hilarious, since in my circle never have I encountered such people. Actually had a kick out of it.

When I was in cosmetology school we were learning about contamination and how you should be careful with procedures because you can cut someone and transfer blood. So at that point were talking about HIV, hepatitis, ect. This girl raises her hand and says "How do you get HIV, from being nasty? Like not taking a bath and cleaning up?" I know this girl and she is sexually active and I could not believe she was being serious. But sadly she was lol

These two girls were in front of the bathroom in Starbucks debating on what vacant meant. Vacant. One of them said, "vacant means someone is in there right?" I mean, if you don't know, just knock on the door! Anyways, my mom has zero patience for bs and just goes around them into the bathroom and they're all like oooohhhhh. 😒 yeah. Oh.
