Which is worse? Castor oil or Pitocin... please read before choosing.

I've read up on both and honestly, they seem equally dangerous. There's no hardcore proof that castor oil causes baby to have a BM in the uterus. Most moms that try castor oil are past term and once you're past term baby is more subject to having a BM. Castor oil can cause diarrhea in mom which may lead to dehydration. Pitocin puts your baby at higher risk of distress which would lead to cesarean. Pitocin also causes extreme contractions that are often too close together (what causes fetal distress). Neither sounds good in my opinion. But I'm scheduled for a medical induction and would like to avoid the Pitocin. I've already dilated 3.5 and effaced 60%. I'm wondering which induction method sounds the least terrible.. neither is guaranteed to work, which is why most medical inductions lead to cesarean.. I've done lots of reading in the past week. I didn't want to be induced at all but it's dangerous for baby and me to go too far past term. My hope is that baby comes on his own soon, so this can be avoided all together. I've tried every other natural induction method and so far they've helped me progress but haven't started labor.
