When will I get my first ultra sound picture

Question

I have my doctors appointment in 2 hours and I'm wondering when will I get my first set of pictures? When I went to the hospital 3 weeks ago for my first ultra sound I didn't get none, will I get some today since I'm 12 weeks & 3 days?

Depends on your doctor really. You're supposed to get one in the beginning, the middle, and the end. Me on the other hand had 6 all together instead of 3. 
You may get one today though :) I got my first one at 13 weeks.

I always ask if I can have one. I don't wait for them to give me one because there's always a chance they won't

My doctor doesn't do the ultrasound at all. They send me to an ultrasound tech which is a whole different appointment.  You should be able to get one done around 13-14 weeks to do nucal testing.  Another at 20 weeks to find out the gender and do measurements. And I think one more at the end to make sure baby is positioned correctly. (I haven't made it to the end yet so...guessing)
