Potty-Training?

I'm a FTM, and was wondering if it was too soon to start potty-training my 18 month old daughter? Tips and advice would be greatly appreciated!

Our little boy was very regular. Right after he ate -- he pooped.
 So... Why are we changing poopy diapers if we know it's coming!? We got the prince lionheart seat (soft, easy to clean and has a good pee guard for boys) and sat him on there after he ate. We read books. Some time he didn't go.  Most times he would. So he got use to being on the potty. We started at 11 months.  18 months is not too early. Just follow his cues. If he screams bloody murder on the potty- try another day. Our boy was so into it he would make his toys go potty!

When my son is sitting on the potty we song abc one two three poop or pee songs that I make up. My son has been sitting on the potty for about 3 or 4 months regularly, some extended periods where he went weeks without a diaper. But still to this day at 2 years and 9 months he still refusing to go on the potty preferring to soak the front of his pants. We sing for ten to fifteen minutes sometimes twenty and he always goes pee five minutes after the potty. Like he does not want to use the potty but he doesn't mind sitting on it. Five minutes off he pees he goes back on for another ten minutes gets back off goes back yen fifteen minutes later gets back off and five minutes later he's peeing again.  No advice for potty training from this mom.

Kids will tell you when they are ready. Don't force it because It will shut them down. Just see how she responds to the potty if you sit her on it. Follow their cues. My son fully potty trained himself and we were there for support and to be his cheerleaders. They will do it naturally. Good luck!
