advice please!!!

ok so I really need advice. my boyfriends grandmother just passed away on Wednesday. they found her dead in her car and my love was there to watch them remove the body. as you can imagine, he's heartbroken. I'm having a hard time "being there" for him and comforting him. we live about 15-20 minutes away, and I don't drive. he never lets me uber either. I've never met his moms side of the family, so I think it'd be weird to show up and it's also the wrong time to meet them. I've sent multiple messages to him letting him know that I love him. I haven't been getting any replies really and now it's making me sad bc I feel like I'm failing. although, my mom and I had lunch with him Thursday and we lent him some money for the funeral. I need advice, should I continue with the messages or just let him be u till he's ready to talk to me? thanks in advance! ❤
