Too young?

I'm 17, my boyfriend will be 18 in less than a month. We have been together for over 2 years, and he asked me to marry him, ring and all. Of course I said yes, but I'm scared to tell my family in fear of them saying I'm too young. Is there really an age limit?

I mean yes and no. If you love each other, but You guys have so much to go through that you don't realize before getting engaged. Just a lot of growing up to do and relationship changes when you become adults. And I was engaged when I was 17 for someone I was with for 4 years and it didn't work out because we were too young.

My fiancé and I got engaged when I was 16 I'm currently 17 now and we are still engaged. Our date is set for 2018.My family thought we have been together so long anyway that we already act married so we should just go ahead and do it.

Your family will probably say you're too young as well as many other people. I got engaged at 18 and married at 19. We've been together for 5 years and just had a little girl this year and are still going strong. Of course we have our disagreements but we communicate and get over them within the same day. Marriage takes work and compromise but people are too quick to just throw it all away these days. So yes, for some it's too young but not for everyone. Only you two will know. Be there for each other and don't let anyone's negative comments tear you apart

If it's meant to be you guys won't have any issues staying engaged for some years. People change after high school and college so it possible to grow apart. Take your time guys.

Also a Yes and No answer. 2 years is a long time to be with one person these days. My husband and I were together 6 months before getting engaged, but we then had a 2 year engagement and had lived together for a year before getting married. I advise a long engagement and seeing how you do loving together before setting a date.

No there isn't I got engage at 17 & he is 18 on may 8th 2015 got married August 15/15  been together 2 years married 1 year with one child and one on the way ! Best choice I ever made at 17
