Help w these darn ovulation sticks !

We've been trying on and off since last year, but really buckled down these past four months without any success. I started using ovulation sticks, but I'm clueless. Not much info came w them (wonderflo). Every month I've used these, I just get a faint line and the bold control line. Is it better to do them 2x a day, same time each day , try a different brand?? What worked for you ladies ?? I'm impatient and admit I give up w the sticks after 6 or 7 days...
