upset. what would you do in this situation?

I went to the supermarket with my LO. She was being difficult so she had her pacifier and was busy (very slowly) falling asleep. as I was standing by the cashier, she kept trying to get my LO attention. I understand babies are incredibly cute, but she's busy falling asleep. She kept tugging at her legs and arms so when I told the woman to stop, my LO looks at her. This woman grabbed the pacifier out of her mouth. I almost lost my head. I told her to give it back and leave my baby alone. I quickly gave my baby her spare pacifier (I always carry an extra one in case one falls and needs to be sterilised). After that she was wide awake. I struggled to get her to sleep. What would you do in this situation?
