what a day
Sorry this is so long...... Sotoday at 32 weeks with my b/g twinsaround noon I went in for a routine ultrasound finding out both babies were a little over four pounds which puts them in the 50th percentile. Following the ultrasound I had my ob appointment and all was well until she decided to check my cervix. Come to my surprise I was 2cm dilated and 70% effaced and baby A is head down at a negative two. I was immediately sent to labor and delivery. Contractions have been fairly regular since, a 6 on a scale of 10. Cervix hasn't been checked again since 7:30 where I was still the same but experiencing contractions over my entire stomach and not just lower. I had a steroid shot to develop the baby's lungs faster. And currently am waiting to have some medicine to see if it will slow down or cease these contractions.
I do not want to go into labor yet for I really didn't want the babies to have any NICU time but if this continues the hospital will prepare for c section. To top it off the NICU here is full so babies would have to go a hour away. And to think everything has been perfect this whole pregnancy. I'm just so stressed and emotional; all things I never imagined are happening.
