boyfriend sleeps too much

I'm going to try to keep this short. So my boyfriend recently started working at a convenience store because we moved & he couldn't find any construction jobs around here. He was hired as part time but is given full time hours, which is fine, we need the money. Sometimes he works over night (11pm-7am.) That's already bad enough because the store got robbed. When he works over night, he gets home around 7:30ish. He's always sleeping by 9am. (IM PLAYING IT SAFE HERE, he's usually sleeping by 8ish. He falls asleep very fast) We agreed he would get up at 2, but he wouldn't get up then so I've been trying at 3 & 4 to wake him up. He gives me such a hard time. He complains that he's soo tired & that when I'm sleeping he's going to wake me up. I just want to spend time with him. He worked 4 overnights this week & it's the same thing every day. The only thing I ask him to do around the house is take the garbage out & shovel snow/cut the grass. The garbage has to go out almost everyday. I always have to ask him to do it, he won't just do it. He hates being asked to do things & it's just irritating. I do everything else around the house. He's also extremely messy & doesn't really clean up after himself. This cannot be how all guys are. It's just getting ridiculous. I know there's two sides to every story, but there's no way he can justify these things. Am I being unreasonable in any way? Does anything have any ideas about the sleep thing? He will literally sleep wherever whenever.
