What are the chances of getting pregnant from precum with a mirena iud?

So I'm fairly sure there are minimal chances of you getting pregnant from precum. I've been terrified about this in the past, so I spoke to my doctor and she said it's very unlikely to get pregnant from it, you just need to make sure that he goes for a piss after every time he finishes, that clears out any of the sperm stuck in him.

Given the tiny chance of getting pregnant from precum, and the equally tiny chance of getting pregnant on the IUD, I'm sure you guys will be great ☺

As long as it's properly in place, the mirena is 99.8% effective over the course of a year.  Take a pregnancy test if he's scared, but I'd be extremely surprised if you were pregnant from precum with the mirena.

You should check the strings after sex and after you have a period to make sure the iud hasn't moved out of place.
