probably a stupid question?

First time being on birth control I am on the mini pill and I am breastfeeding.. it's been almost a week on the mini pill now. Yesterday my SO and I had sex and he finished inside me... I can't get pregnant on birth control can I? That's the whole reason you take birth control right? Or are you still suppose to have protected sex? Sorry if it's a stupid question 😩

My OB said two weeks on the mini pill for it to be effective. After that my husband finishes inside of me all the time & so far I've been good.

It's 7 days on mini pill then your fine so your covered. It's as effective as combined pill if taken within time frame. There is a newer mini pill called cerazette. You have 12 hours to remember it.

I've know people to get preggo on the mini pill only bc it's a different ratio of hormones (compared to the reg pill) and you have to take it at the exact same time every single day. Which I personally am terrible at doing!

My doctor said, until I get through a whole month of birth control to use a Condom because i can get pregnant again.
