HELP!!!

I was on my honeymoon when I was supposed to start my period, so I opened a new pack of my combination birth control and took a week of those pills. Am I supposed to take the placebo pills from my precious pack this week, have my period and then continue normally? Or just take the hormone pills the next two weeks until the next placebo pills and skip my period completely this month? This is the first time this has happened and I'm terrified of getting pregnant so I want to do this correctly!
