misdiagnosed miscarriage? I'd love to hear your story!

I had a scan at 6w & 7w both showed sack with a yolk sack docs said it didn't look viable and to expect miscarriage within a few weeks... my hcg was still riding at 8 weeks.. well that was a month ago.. I've been waiting 4 long weeks and nothing has happened. My stomach is growing & my breasts are still growing and extremely sensitive. I've miscarried before and all my symptoms went away so I'm just not convinced yet. We've decided to have another ultrasound in a few days I'll be 11w2d..I'm so nervous but hopeful.. anyone else experience something similar?!

Not my personal story but a friend of mines that happened a few weeks ago:
Early on in her pregnancy she thought she was having a miscarrage (lots of bleeding and clots) she went into doctors and he said her levels were low and she was definitely having a miscarrage. Her and her hubby were devastated. Well fast forward 12 or so weeks she feel "bubbles" in her stomach. So she's thinking wth and goes in for an appointment. Turns out she's 21 weeks pregnant. What had happened was she unknowingly was pregnant with twins, lost one and had another miracle baby inside of her. It is the most amazing thing ever.

When I miscarried my symptoms let up some but I still had sore boobs and extreme bloating. At 11 weeks it would be bloating regardless of if it was viable or not but I was way more bloated with a growing belly than I have been with my viable pregnancy this time around. I had no cramping or spotting. I ended up having to get a D&C with my loss. I wasn't nearly as sick with my loss as I am this time around. I felt way more normal. They should see a heartbeat by at the latest the end of week 6. Typically a slow growing embryo is a chromosonally incompetent embryo. I don't mean to be blunt but they should see a flicker by week 6 and as the sac sounds like it's probably still growing that can be why your levels are increasing. Sorry, I've been there. I know how terrible it is.

I was told that I had miscarried as it didn't looked developed enough - so basically they thought he stopped growing and told me I would "pass it" soon. Turned out they were just off on the gestation, which I had thought maybe they were. My second opinion sonogram technician thought this as well, and a couple weeks later we actually saw the baby with a heartbeat! I'm 36w1d now and it's looking like he could come any day now, and he's had absolutely no complications. I'm so glad I got another sonogram and didn't schedule a D&C 🙏🏻

I have no experience since both my miscarriages I started bleeding right away but I wanted to send you good vibes and also say that I'm so sorry you've had to wait 4 weeks without an answer. My doc would have brought me in once a week. Good luck!
