Is it a priority of yours to save for your child's education fund?

I'm curious to see these results. I've been saving since my kids were born. My son is 2.5 and already has almost $5000 and my daughter is 4 months and has $1000. I usually do a certain amount monthly and my inlaws always give money for Xmas and birthdays and such. My parents paid in full for my education and it's something I want to do for my kids. It's so important in my opinion!!
