When did you start to show?

My husband and I had a courthouse wedding before he left for a deployment. Now that he is back we have our actual "wedding" planned for May 6th, 2017. We also just recently found out that I'm pregnant, which would make me about 23-24 weeks pregnant the day of our wedding. We are super excited to be having our first child, but the bad part is I have already purchased a very expensive and very fitting wedding dress. What are the chances I can still fit into my dress at. 5-6 month pregnant?

I was starting to show by around 20 weeks. It all just depends on your body. Can you get the dress altered/let out if you need to?

My belly popped at 25 weeks. No way would I fit into my wedding dress from April; and mine was not tightly fit. However, most dresses can be taken in or out up to two sizes. Talk to your seamstress about it.

Even if your bump isn't that big yet at 23 weeks, your body will definitely be changing. Most women are already in maternity clothes by then, especially pants. Your boobs will be bigger. I don't think you will fit in your dress unfortunately. But like someone else suggested, maybe they could order you a bigger size? I would call the bridal salon and see what they suggest. They were very knowledgable and helpful with any concerns I had during the ordering process. Good luck!

It varies hugely by body. I'm 27w pregnant here and clearly showing in other clothes but I seem to be carrying pretty small and have big boobs that conceal the bump in comparison.

I'd call the store and discuss it with them! Even if you still fit into the dress, you might want something more forgiving for the sake of comfort

This happened to my sister in law.. she called the bridal salon and they were able to order a size up. She was very petite but had a nice bump by 6 months

I had just started showing where others could start to tell something was up.  Was venturing into maternity pants and no longer buttoning regular pants. Form fitting would be dicey....

Can you move your date up?? I was showing by then-- not huge, but significant. There's a ton of variation from person to person, but you probably shouldn't count on being the same size you are now.
