Anyone know how to tell what position baby's in?

I know my baby was head down for quite a while, but last weekend I got hit on the top of the belly pretty hard, and now I'm afraid the baby is transverse. The hiccups I feel have moved from behind my bladder to my hip, and the hardest kicks are no longer up at the top of my belly, but in my side. I don't see my Dr again till next week, but does anyone know how to tell for sure how the baby is sitting?

I'm 35 weeks and my baby goes from breech to traverse. I know she's tranverse by the shape of my belly (wider) and I can also see her head/butt moving around. I find transverse to be extremely uncomfortable and it hurts so bad when she moves. She's a little wiggle worm💕

I am 32 plus weeks . I usually have baby hiccups and can tell where the vibration of the hiccups are and tell the position of the baby plus the kicks ... sometimes I feel the hands too closer to the head .the baby is head down right now

Thank you ladies for your responses. I see my Dr on Wednesday next week, so I'll ask her to be sure, but I feel like this little one might have shifted to transverse.

I'm 33+5 and my baby is breeched..she was head down at 28 weeks though. They said baby still has time to flip

If baby's head down, then you're feeling feet at the top of your belly.  My midwife maps my belly and baby's position with her hands at my appointments. She's given me enough direction to be able map baby by myself between appointments.

Anyone know how to tell what position baby's in?
