First gyno appointment?

I'm 13 and I've had my period for about 2 years now and I'm not sexually active with a partner but there is penetration when I masturbate and I've popped my cherry already and I masturbate regularly. I have a few questions, first of all, when should I make my first appointment, and second of all, what should I say if they ask if I'm sexually active? Is that to make sure I don't have STDs or otherwise? And third I've heard rumors about them wanting you to come in on your period for the inspection thing I don't think it's true but I've heard mixed stories? Sorry if these questions are stupid but I don't want to listen to too much stuff from the internet Incase it's not true. Any answers are greatly appreciated ❤ thanks.

You don't need to see a gyno until you become sexually active, or until you turn 21, whichever comes first. If you go after you become sexually active, then obviously you would tell them you are sexually active. If you go before you have sex, then say you are not sexually active. Masturbation does not count. It's also not recommended to go on your period.

They're really only concerned with seeing you if you're sexually active just to make sure you're staying safe (stds, infections, etc) they also prescribe birth control and help you figure out the best options for you. They don't "want" to see you on your period, but if you happen to be on your period when your appointment is scheduled, they won't really change anything, the appointment will go on as normal.

My advice is to call the office you would be going to and make an appointment when you feel ready for it. Sometimes going to a pediatric doctor isn't enough, especially after you start your period. When asked about sexual activity its not exactly to track STDs but it can assist with that and keeping up with other health problems. Also, the forms you are given to fill out at the office ask about sexual activity, but they don't mention masturbastion. If you feel like its important to your health then bring it up. Some questions can be answered when you make your appointment, like if they want to see you while you are on your period.

They wont need to see you until your sexually active and even then they try not to do paps until your 21 so theyll just talk to you about safe sex and birth control... my office will tell you you need to reschedule if you have your period they wont do the exam while your on it because it can mess with the results then youll have to do it again anyway lol
